Setting up Ashby integration
To set up an Ashby integration, you will need to be a Company Admin of your company’s Ashby account. 1. Generate an Ashby API key- Sign in to Ashby and visit “Admin” in the top navigation bar. Click “Integrations” in the navigation menu on the left, and then “Integrations” again.
- Select “API Keys” and then ”+ New”.
- Name your key “Metaview”.

Give the key the scopes “Read All” and “Candidates Write”.
- If you want to capture confidential calls in Metaview, then you should also select “Allow access to confidential jobs and projects”.
- Copy the created key.
- Navigate to https://my.metaview.app/settings/ashby. If you haven’t previously signed up for a Metaview account, you will be prompted to go through our onboarding flow.
- Enter the API key into the corresponding field.
- After saving your changes, the integration process will start. This can take up to 48 hours to complete, and you will be emailed once the integration is successful.
Ashby features
Integrating your Ashby ATS to Metaview unlocks the following features:- Automatic scheduling directly from your ATS
- Employees sync
- Ability to submit your scorecards from Metaview
- Ability to post your notes to ATS
- Data enrichment of Call details in Metaview (e.g. candidate name, job title, stage, location)
- Automatic addition of links to Metaview notes in ATS
- Provide Access to calls for users with Recruiter and Hiring Manager roles in ATS
Scorecards
The scorecard will be available whenever Metaview successfully matches your call to an Ashby interview that includes a scorecard. Clickon Fill scorecard
(if available) to see the relevant Ashby feedback form for your call. Metaview does not automatically submit your Ashby Scorecard on your behalf. When you are happy with your Scorecard, click Submit Feedback
to have it logged in Ashby.
You can check if Metaview has matched to an interview by following the Ashby link on the interview page. If this link does not go to a URL containing interview-briefings, then Metaview has not matched the call to an interview.
To improve the relevance of what is auto-filled, make sure your scorecard headings and field descriptions are as clear and specific as possible. For example, instead of “General Thoughts,” try “Candidate’s Communication Style (with examples).”
Troubleshooting
When a call was not scheduled through Ashby, Metaview will still attempt to match your calls scheduled by other means to relevant entries in your ATS. The most common reasons why this doesn’t happen automatically are:- Call or candidate is missing in the ATS
- Duplicate calls or candidates in the ATS
- Data mismatch between Metaview invite and information in ATS (e.g. wrong participants, missing participant, wrong candidate)
- Insufficient information to match call or candidate (often occurs when using Inviting to an ongoing call or Upload recordings options)
