Metaview integrates seamlessly with Thrive. This makes it possible for Metaview to match candidates to existing candidates in Thrive, and allow you to push Notes directly to candidate profiles in Thrive.

Requirements

Please ensure API access is enabled on your Thrive account before setup; if you don’t yet have API access, contact your Thrive CSM to have it activated.

Connect Thrive to Metaview

1. Your API key can be found within Thrive.
  1. Navigate to Settings (top right) -> Integration -> Access Tokens
  2. Click Generate API Token
  3. Copy the API key.
Image 2. Share Thrive API key and account subdomain with Metaview Navigate to https://my.metaview.app/?settings=thrive-trm. If you haven’t previously signed in to Metaview, you will be prompted to do so. Enter the API key into the provided field. Image After saving your changes, the integration process will start. This can take up to 48 hours to complete, and you will be emailed once the integration is successful.

Permissions

Metaview uses this access to match your calls to the right candidate and role, enrich candidate profiles, keep your team in sync, and write Notes and other Metaview information back to Thrive. Your Thrive API token authorizes this connection as a whole — there are no individual permissions for you to select. What Metaview reads and writes depends on whether you are on Thrive 2.0 or Thrive Legacy. This is a direct connection — no third-party integration partner is involved. Anything marked optional is only used by an individual feature — without it, the core integration still works.

  • Read events
Thrive 2.0 — optional
  • Write an event transcript
Thrive Legacy — required
  • Read contacts
  • Read applications
  • Read application stages
  • Read searches
  • Read users
  • Write contact notes
Thrive Legacy — optional
  • Create a contact or application
  • Read contact documents, education, positions and notes

  • Data enrichment of candidate profile (e.g. name, job title, stage, location, CV)
  • Automatic addition of links to Metaview notes in your CRM
  • Automatic scheduling directly from Thrive 2.0
  • For Thrive Legacy, use Sourcing to search through your CRM and add sourced candidates

Troubleshooting

For Thrive Legacy, and when a Thrive 2.0 call was not scheduled through Thrive, Metaview will attempt to match calls scheduled by other means to relevant entries in your CRM. The most common reasons why this doesn’t happen automatically are:
  • Candidate is missing in the CRM
  • Duplicate candidates in the CRM
  • Data mismatch between Metaview invite and information in your CRM (e.g. wrong participants, missing participant, wrong candidate)
  • Insufficient information to match call or candidate (often occurs when using Inviting to an ongoing call or Upload recordings options)
If you believe that a Metaview call was not matched or was incorrectly matched to your CRM data, please reach out to us and provide as much data as possible for our team to properly investigate. Please provide specific examples and the relevant IDs (e.g. application ID, candidate ID) from your CRM.

Disconnect your Thrive integration

You can disable your Metaview integration directly from within your Metaview account under SettingsIntegrations then select Disconnect Thrive. This immediately disconnects Metaview from your CRM data. Please note however that any calls that have already been scheduled may still go ahead. Please see Disabling Metaview for details on how to also make sure that the Notetaker bot doesn’t join any future calls.
