What is this interview?
It’s a short, spoken conversation with an AI interviewer, done from your browser on your laptop or phone. The hiring team chose the questions, and they are the ones who review your answers. There’s nothing to schedule. Your invitation email has a personal link, and you can start whenever suits you before the deadline in the email. Why am I being asked to do this?
Your application only says so much. This interview is your chance to tell the hiring team about yourself in your own words: your experience, what you’re good at, and what you’re looking for. It gives the team much more to go on than a resume alone, and every candidate gets the same opportunity to make their case. Because there’s no scheduling involved, you can do it at a time that works for you rather than waiting for a slot on someone’s calendar. Just make sure you complete it before the deadline if your invitation email mentions one.Is this replacing a human interviewer?
No. The AI interviewer only asks questions and listens. It doesn’t decide anything. Your answers go straight to the hiring team, real people, who review them and decide on next steps, just as they would after any interview.Who sees my answers?
The hiring team at the company you applied to. Your recording and transcript are shared with them, and they use it alongside the rest of your application. What happens next?
Once you finish, the hiring team reviews your interview and will be in touch about next steps through their usual process. If the interview goes well, you’ll typically move forward in their hiring process; if not, they’ll let you know. How should I prepare?
You don’t need to prepare much. It’s a conversation. A few tips:- Find a quiet spot where you can speak freely.
- You’ll need a microphone. A camera helps the team get to know you, but it’s often optional; the welcome screen will tell you if it’s required.
- Take your time. There’s no time limit on your answers, and you can pause to think.
- Talk naturally. You can interrupt the interviewer, ask it to repeat a question, or ask for clarification, just like you would with a person.
- Share what feels relevant. The more context you give, the better picture the team has.
