How do I get Metaview to join my video meeting?

You can invite Metaview like any other participant (by adding notes@metaview.ai to the calendar invite) or paste the meeting link into your Metaview homepage. If it’s invited ahead of time, Metaview joins automatically. If you paste the link, it can join ongoing or last-minute calls.

How do I know if Metaview Notetaker is in my video call?

The Notetaker shows up in the participant list once it joins. You might see it labelled as “Metaview Notetaker”. If you see it listed as an attendee, it’s in the meeting and actively capturing. If you have a waiting room or lobby, the meeting organizer must allow the bot into the call so that it can capture notes.

When exactly does the Metaview Notetaker join?

If invited in advance, the Notetaker typically joins 2 minutes before the scheduled start. If you paste a link using the Join ongoing call feature, it attempts to join right away. It will leave automatically when the meeting ends or when all participants drop off.

What happens if my meeting has a waiting room or lobby?

If your meeting has a waiting room or lobby, Metaview may need to be admitted by the meeting host. Until admitted, it cannot capture the call. Once allowed in, it behaves like any other participant.

Do I need to change how I usually schedule meetings?

No. You can keep scheduling through your normal calendar and conferencing tool. As long as there’s a valid video link, Metaview can be added just like an extra attendee.

What should I do if Metaview doesn’t show up?

Check that it was invited with the correct email or that you pasted the right link. Confirm that the host admitted it if the meeting has a waiting room. If needed, paste the link again into your Metaview homepage to force it to join. Yes. Pasting a meeting link into your Metaview homepage is the fastest way to get it into a live or short-notice call. This works for all supported platforms.

Can I remove the Notetaker bot from a video call?

You can remove the Notetaker from the meeting, and it will not capture notes, transcripts, or recordings. This can be done from the video platform itself, or from your Metaview account.

What happens once the call ends or Metaview leaves?

In most cases, the bot exits when the meeting finishes or all participants have left. If you don’t explicitly end the meeting, the bot may stay on for up to 5 minutes. Within a few minutes, you’ll find AI Notes in your Metaview account, ready for review and sharing.
