Connect Metaview to Slack to receive notifications and continue supported workflows without needing to keep Metaview open.
Currently, our Slack integration only supports Sourcing workflows. Other Metaview workflows and notifications, including Notes notifications, are not yet available through this integration. To automatically post completed meeting summaries to Slack, you can use Slack via Zapier. We may expand the native Slack integration to support additional workflows in the future.

Connect Slack

Any active workspace member can connect Slack:
  1. Open Settings in Metaview.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. Find Slack and click Connect.
  4. Follow the prompts to authorize the Metaview Slack app.
Once connected, Slack notifications for Sourcing are enabled automatically. You can manage your personal notification preferences in Metaview.

Use Slack with Sourcing

You can use Slack to:
  • Start a sourcing search
  • Receive updates when the sourcing agent needs input
  • Continue a sourcing conversation from its Slack thread
  • Receive a notification when results are ready
  • Open the full search and Candidate Pack in Metaview

Manage notifications

Notifications for Sourcing are enabled by default once Slack is connected. To change your preferences:
  1. Open your personal settings in Metaview.
  2. Go to notification settings.
  3. Enable or disable Slack notifications.

Native Slack integration vs Slack via Zapier

Metaview offers two ways to work with Slack:
  • Native Slack integration: Use Slack as a conversational interface for Sourcing and receive sourcing-related notifications.
  • Slack via Zapier: Automatically post completed meeting summaries and selected Metaview fields to a Slack channel.
These can be used independently or together.
