Okta SSO

Metaview integrates seamlessly with Okta. This makes it possible to use Okta as the Identity Provider when signing into Metaview.

Add the Metaview integration from Okta's App Catalog

In Okta, go to the 'Applications' page. Then, click Add Application and then Browse App Catalog. Search for 'Metaview'. Click Add Integration. Select the Do not display application icon to users and Do not display application icon in the Okta Mobile App options and click Done:

Configure the newly added application

1. Add the connection name

In the first step you need to go to the 'Sign On' tab of your newly created app and scroll down to the 'Advanced Sign-on Settings' section. You can find the value for the 'Connection name' field in your Metaview app (https://my.metaview.app/settings/okta - "Connection name"). Add it and click Save.

2. Connect your application to Metaview

Get the Okta connection details by clicking on View SAML setup instructions, in Okta. This'll open a new page with 3 pieces of information that need to be shared with Metaview.

These would be 'Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL', 'Identity Provider Issuer', and X.509 certificate. Copy and paste them in your Metaview app (https://my.metaview.app/settings/okta)

Click on Test configuration. You will be redirected two times and end up on the same page with an indication that the connection was successful.

Click on Save changes. From now on all users in your organization will use Okta to sign in to Metaview.

To add a shortcut to Metaview from the Okta dashboard, follow the instructions for adding a Bookmark App.
