Assistant

The Metaview Assistant supports recruiters by giving you instant access to the most important information about candidates in your pipeline: the information they share during the interview process. It replaces the need for trawling through faint memories, or extrapolating from frantically-written interview notes when making those all-important hiring decisions.

Go to the Assistant tab on the notes page to open the chat window. Click on one of the suggested questions or ask a question about the conversation in the input field to get started.

How to use the Assistant

With the Assistant, you can simply type in a question you have about a candidate and our AI will return information based on what was discussed in the interview. For example, you could ask for a quick reminder of what a candidate said their compensation expectations are, or ask for a summary of key points that were discussed. Our AI not only retrieves information, but also generates underlying insights, such as a candidate's stated motivations for seeking a new role. All of this means you can extract the data and insights you need from interviews instantaneously, without relying on fuzzy memory or detail-light candidate feedback forms.

Adjusting responses

You can adjust how the Assistant responds to your questions using the following pre-set options:

  • Length: short, medium, long

  • Format: bullet points, paragraphs

  • Pronouns: They (default), She, He

  • Identifier: "Candidate", [Candidate name] (see to change the candidate's name)

These options are set for the entire chat sequence, but you can also tweak the length and format of specific responses by clicking on the ⚙️ (gear) emoji.

Although a translation pre-set option is not present in the chat window, you can ask the Assistant questions in a different language and ask it to respond in one of Metaview's 50+ supported languages.

Troubleshooting

  1. Not all speakers are assigned

Metaview will not be able to correctly attribute responses if not all the speakers are assigned. Go to the Transcript tab for .

  2. The footnote is missing

When the Assistant provides you with an answer, it will try to provide you with a footnote. Click on [1] to see the part of the call transcript from where the answer is taken from. However, in some cases if the information is pulled from many parts of the conversation or is inferred (e.g. "Who participated in the meeting?", "How many questions were asked in this meeting?"), Metaview will not be able to provide you with a direct footnote to the transcript.

  3. The Assistant is unresponsive or unable to provide a response

Click on the eraser icon to start new chat. If the issue persists, the best way to flag the issue to our team is by using the 👎 (thumbs down) icon. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve the quality and reliability of the Assistant.
