Ashby

Metaview integrates seamlessly with Ashby. This makes it possible for Metaview to automatically capture scheduled interviews in Ashby so we can provide AI-generated summaries and autofill your Ashby interview scorecards.

Setting up Ashby integration

To set up an Ashby integration, you will need to be a Company Admin of your company's Ashby account.

1. Generate an Ashby API key

  1. Sign in to Ashby and visit "Admin" in the top navigation bar. Click "Integrations" in the navigation menu on the left, and then "Integrations" again.

  2. Select "API Keys" and then "+ New".

  3. Name your key "Metaview".

  4. Give the key the scopes "Read All" and "Candidates Write".

    • If you want to capture confidential calls in Metaview, then you should also select "Allow access to confidential jobs and projects".

  5. Copy the created key.

2. Share Ashby API key with Metaview

  1. Navigate to https://my.metaview.app/settings/ashby. If you haven't previously signed up for a Metaview account, you will be prompted to go through our onboarding flow.

  2. Enter the API key into the corresponding field.

  3. After saving your changes, the integration process will start. This can take up to 48 hours to complete, and you will be emailed once the integration is successful.

Ashby features

Integrating your Ashby ATS to Metaview unlocks the following features:

  • directly from your ATS

  • Employees sync

  • Ability to submit your scorecards from Metaview

  • Ability to post your notes to ATS

  • Data enrichment of in Metaview (e.g. candidate name, job title, stage, location)

  • Automatic addition of links to Metaview notes in ATS

  • Provide to calls for users with Recruiter and Hiring Manager roles in ATS

When a call was scheduled through Ashby or was matched to data in Ashby, you will see the Ashby logo in Metaview. Click on the Ashby logo to go to the matched entry in your ATS.

Click on the Scorecard icon (if available) to see the relevant Ashby feedback form for your call. Metaview does not automatically submit feedback forms on your behalf. When you are happy with your feedback form, click Submit Feeback to have it logged in Ashby.

The feedback form will only be available if Metaview was able to match your call to an interview in Ashby and if that entry has a feedback form. You can check if Metaview has matched to an interview by following the Ashby link on the interview page. If this links does not go to a URL containing interview-briefings, then Metaview has not matched the call to an interview.

Troubleshooting

When a call was not scheduled through Ashby, Metaview will still attempt to match your calls scheduled by other means to relevant entries in your ATS. The most common reasons why this doesn't happen automatically are:

  • Call or candidate is missing in the ATS

  • Duplicate calls or candidates in the ATS

  • Data mismatch between Metaview invite and information in ATS (e.g. wrong participants, missing participant, wrong candidate)

  • Insufficient information to match call or candidate (often occurs when using or options)

If you believe that a Metaview call was not matched or was incorrectly matched to your ATS data, please reach out to support@metaview.ai and provide as much data as possible for our team to properly investigate. Please provide specific examples and the relevant IDs (e.g. application ID, candidate ID) from your ATS.
