Zapier overview

Metaview integrates seamlessly with Zapier. This makes it possible to automate workflows and connect Metaview with thousands of other apps.

Getting started with Zapier and Metaview

1. Create a Zapier account

If you don't have an account already, sign up at zapier.com. Creating an account is free and you can get started immediately.

2. Navigate to the Zapier integration settings in the Metaview app

You can navigate to the Zapier settings directly with this link, or navigate through the Integrations page.

3. Generate a new key

Once on the Zapier settings page, select the Generate API Key button. You should see the generated key below - make sure to copy it.

4. Create a Zap using a Metaview Trigger or Action

Navigate to https://zapier.com and create a new Zap. In this guide, we will use the New Conversation Trigger found in the Metaview integration. Click on the Trigger in your new Zap and search for Metaview. Then select the New Conversation Trigger event and click Sign in to connect your Metaview account to Zapier. Enter the earlier generated key into the page that appears.

5. Configure your Trigger or Action

Depending on which Trigger or Action you add to your Zap, you may need to configure it by providing additional information in the Configure tab.

6. Test your Trigger or Action

Test your Trigger or Action in the Test tab.

7. Complete your Zap and publish it to automate your workflows

For example, if you are using the New Conversation Trigger, you could add an Action to send a Slack message with details of the new conversation in your account. Check out this complete list of apps you can now integrate Metaview with through Zapier.

What is Zapier?

Zapier is an automation tool that allows you to connect Metaview with thousands of other apps without writing any code. By creating automated workflows called "Zaps", Zapier helps you streamline tasks and processes across different apps. For instance, you can automate data transfer between Metaview and your Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or set up actions that occur automatically after interviews.

A Zap consists of a Trigger (an event in one app, such as Metaview) and an Action (what happens in another app, such as your ATS). Once you set up a Zap, Zapier works in the background to handle these tasks for you, saving you time and reducing manual effort.

How long does it take to set up an automation with Zapier?

Setting up Zapier is quick and easy. Once you have your accounts created, setting up your first Zap typically takes just a few minutes, depending on the complexity of the workflow you’re automating.

For a simple Zap, such as creating a note in your ATS whenever a new conversation is recorded in Metaview, the setup process can be completed in less than 10 minutes.

What workflows can I set up with Zapier?

With Zapier, you can automate a variety of workflows between Metaview and other apps. Some popular examples include:

  • Create notes in your ATS when a new interview is recorded in Metaview.

  • Send a Slack message to your hiring team when an interview is completed.

  • Automatically update candidate information in your CRM after each Metaview interview.

  • Trigger follow-up actions, such as scheduling feedback meetings, based on Metaview interview insights.

My notes aren't being formatted correctly

Some applications on Zapier expect different formatting when creating notes. If your notes are being pushed as one paragraph without any line breaks, try using "Summary HTML" instead of "Summary" when creating a note. If this doesn't work either, contact us and we'll investigate the issue.
