# Sequences Settings

> Configure how your outreach sequences send and stop

You can manage your sequence preferences from [Sequences Settings](https://my.metaview.app/sequences?settings=sequences). These settings control who can send on your behalf, how emails are formatted, and when sequences automatically stop for a candidate.

## Add a mailbox

Click `Add mailbox` to connect your work [Gmail](/gmail-for-sequences) or [Outlook](/outlook-for-sequences) based email provider and enable them for sequence outreach. You can connect more than one mailbox and set Sending controls, Proxy Sender Permissions and Signature for each one.

## WhatsApp

Click `Connect` to start using WhatsApp messages in your outreach sequences. You will be guided to a simple self-serve flow where you can use a pairing code or QR code. If you change your mind, you can disconnect your WhatsApp from Metaview by simply clicking `Remove`.

## Automatic Bcc

You can add a Bcc email address to every sequence email you send — for example, an ATS maildrop address to automatically log outreach in your applicant tracking system. Enter the address in the field and click `Add Bcc`.

## Stop Sequence on Metaview Session Scheduled

When `enabled`, a candidate's active sequence will automatically stop as soon as a Metaview session (e.g. an interview) is scheduled with them. This prevents candidates from receiving further outreach emails once they've progressed to the interview stage.

## **Stop Sequence for candidates already in your ATS**

When `enabled`, any candidate added to a sequence who matches a record in your ATS will have their sequence stopped immediately. A grey "Already in ATS" pill appears on the candidate row so recruiters can see exactly why the sequence was cancelled.

## **Post Sequence steps to your ATS**

When `enabled`, Metaview posts sequence activity to the matched ATS candidate record, so recruiters can review outreach directly in their ATS. This applies only to activity from the point the setting is enabled. It does not post historical activity retroactively.

## Stop on Calendly Event Scheduled

When `enabled`, a candidate's active sequence will automatically stop when a Calendly event is scheduled with them. This works similarly to the Metaview session setting above, but is triggered by Calendly scheduling activity instead.

<Note>
  Stop conditions can be enabled at the same time. A sequence will stop as soon as any of the conditions is met.
</Note>

## Sending controls

You can manage how quickly emails are sent from each connected mailbox. For each mailbox you have connected, you can use Metaview’s default limits or set your own daily cap, hourly cap, and delay between emails. These limits apply per mailbox across all sequences, so if multiple sequences use the same mailbox, they will share the available send times.
